Replace Bed Times with Movie Times in June
Forget bed times, pack a picnic blanket and head out to Woodforest with your family of film buffs for free movies under the stars on Wednesdays throughout the month of June.
We’ve got a curated selection of blockbusters and kiddie classics waiting for you in Jackson Park, 2829 Woodforest Parkway North, beginning June 6. Movies will be accompanied by awesome activities related to the featured film. Activities begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed at dusk by the movie, giving you plenty of time to lay out your blankets, set up your lawn chairs and get cozy before the show.
The series debuts with Woody, Buzz Lightyear and friends in “Toy Story.” Toy soldiers and glow sticks will be passed out for added fun. On June 13, kids can take a spin on an “inflata-bull” before settling down to enjoy “Ferdinand,” the story of a bull with a big heart. A pick-up game of plastic baseball will set the stage for a showing of “The Sandlot” on June 20. The series ends on June 27 with face painting and the Disney blockbuster, “Coco.”
The movie series is just one of many events our Director of Fun plans throughout the year. Residents enjoy many more, from clubs and classes to festivals and field trips. Want to become part of the Woodforest family? Come visit our Homefinder Lodge to get started.
