Meet Holly Irwin – the New WOFO Director of Fun

October 16, 2018

Raised in Houston, Holly Irwin has traveled the world in search of adventure, and now the former international flight attendant has landed in Woodforest, where she takes over the controls as Director of Fun.

Holly said the travel was a blast, but a desire to spend more time with her family and be part of a community guided her decision to look for a new position. Pulling on her experience as a wedding planner, an innate love for hosting events and the time she has spent coaching youth swimming, she happily accepted a position leading Woodforest’s lifestyle program.

“It’s so beautiful out here,” Holly said. “I love how Woodforest has this old-school vibe of families being involved and everyone knows each other. I’m looking forward to hosting events that continue that momentum.”

Holly’s first official day was Oct. 15, but she has spent the past week working with Tori Whelan learning about the community and current programming. Here are a few other facts about Holly:

  • She went to Texas State University on a swimming scholarship
  • Shopping tops the list of things she likes to do, with hiking and spending time with family close behind (shopping for hiking gear with her family might be a perfect day!)
  • She’s met a host of celebrities and NFL sports stars as a flight attendant for Flight Services International/Atlas Air Military and VIP Charter
