Start Thanksgiving Day the Healthy Way

Get in some pre-emptive calorie burning before the Thanksgiving hustle and bustle at our annual Woodforest Turkey Trot Thursday, Nov. 28.

Our run through the community kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at Forest Island, 4665 Woodforest Parkway South, with a fun warm-up led by an instructor from F45. Once you’re warm, it’s time to take off.

Families looking to gobble up some miles should sign up for the 5K Family Feast Walk/Run. Need something a tad less strenuous? How about our Mashed Potato Mile? A Harvest Half-Miler is available for kids ages 12 and under. Snacks and water will be provided. All runners receive a finisher medal.

In addition to doing something good for your body, you’ll also have an opportunity to do something good for the community. During the month of November and December, we will be collecting Toys for Tots and canned goods. Bring either to the Turkey Trot and we will make sure they are distributed to those in need this holiday season!
