And the Winner is… Woodforest!
If you went to the Woodforest Craft Fest in September or picked up a copy of our Hometown Herald, you obviously know a winner when you see one. Both took top honors in the Greater Houston Builders Association’s (GHBA) Houston’s Best PRISM Awards recently and both were the brainchildren of 2017 Marketing Professional of the Year – Developer, Shannon League.
League leads the marketing efforts of not just Woodforest, but two additional Johnson Development Corp. communities — Grand Central Park in Conroe and Harmony in Spring. Her creative approach is behind a number of highly anticipated community events such as the upcoming Bark in the Park in Grand Central Park and our own Craft Fest, as well as memorable marketing pieces like the Hometown Herald.
Our annual brew festival was awarded Event of the Year – Community. The festival featured a number of well-known, award-winning breweries providing samples of lagers, ales and stouts as well as two popular bands, a mechanical bull and even a jumbotron television airing college football. Oversized lawn games, a bounce house, inflatable jousting, face painting and more kept the kids entertained and added to the family-friendly intent of the event. A Texas truck show courtesy of Conroe’s Gullo dealerships gave everyone something to “ooh and ahh” over.
In addition, our billboard and radio commercial for Craft Fest were finalists in their categories.
Our Hometown Herald won the award for Direct Mail Piece of the Year Business to Consumer - Developer. Crafted to look like a hometown newspaper, it established Woodforest as a hometown for everyone. Click here to take a closer look.
