Celebrating 10 Years

‘Tis the Season — For Giving

December 09, 2020

Much of the joy of the holiday season comes from giving — giving presents to friends, to family members and to those less fortunate.

This year has been particularly hard on some families, so we are collecting toys for both children and pets as well as baby items to bring joy to all.

We’re asking for new, unwrapped toys for our annual Toys for Tots campaign, which will go to the local Conroe Toys for Tots organization, which serves children in Polk, San Jacinto, Liberty, Walker and Montgomery counties. Last year, the organization brightened the holidays for 12,448 children by distributing 48,712 toys.

We’re also continuing the amazing efforts of the Montgomery County Food Bank — but with a “pawsome” twist. The food bank has seen its number of clients double this year, averaging about 60,000 clients a month. We’re guessing many of these people in need might also have a pet and are finding it hard to feed them. That’s why we’re collecting pet food to be donated to the food bank. (Feel free to throw in a nice little pet toy, too.)

Finally, we’re hosting a drive targeted to the very youngest members of society — babies. We’re collecting diapers, pull-ups, wipes and formula during a “Babe Drive” being hosted by Interfaith of The Woodlands.

All donations should be dropped off at The Palm Information Center, 251 Central Pine Street, prior to Friday, Dec. 11.

Thank you for your generosity!
