Big, bold and filled to the brim with things yummy for the tummy — Houston’s largest “grocerant” is now open in Woodforest.
Harvest Market opened at the end of February, bringing a full grocery store and 10 fast-casual restaurants to the community, all in a 40,000-square-foot, two-story facility that can only be described as a “grocerant.” The restaurants offer a wide variety of food — sushi, wok stir-fry bowls, pizza, burgers, salad, soup, barbecue and more — to satisfy every palette. People can take their prepared food home or sit out on the expansive patio. Adding to the ambience are special events, such as live music, wine tastings and more.
For those who prefer to do their own cooking, there is farmers market-fresh produce, delicately processed meat selections, grass-fed beef and chicken, house-made sausages and fresh seafood. An in-store bakery makes a full line of scratch-made artisan breads, muffins, cakes, cookies, and European patisserie — including vegan, gluten-free and other special diet offerings. There is also a large variety of organic, natural products as well as gluten-free, raw, superfoods and many other special selections.
Beyond groceries, Harvest Market offers a robust health and wellness department, with ample selections in skin care, vitamins, immune-boosters and more. A variety of everyday household items — cleaning supplies, food wrap and more — is also available.
And while the store is located in Woodforest — it anchors the Pine Market complex — it is open to the entire region. Woodforest residents do have a slight advantage, though — they can ride their golf carts to the store, which features golf cart parking.
Harvest Market is located at 2295 Woodforest Parkway. Hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
