Hot off being named one of the top-selling master-planned communities in the nation, Woodforest received recognition from the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) in the form of Texas Star Awards for Best Special Event and Best Radio Commercial.
The Texas Star Awards recognize the best of the best, honoring the work of developers, builders, remodelers, architects, designers, sales professionals, marketing professionals and construction professionals across Texas and surrounding areas. Winners were announced on July 15.
We received the Best Special Event trophy for last year’s “Merry & Bright Tour of Lights.” Designed to offer families a safe way to enjoy holiday events, the month-long tour included more than 70 lighted holiday displays on a 3-mile path in Woodforest. Photo opportunities with Santa’s Giant Hat and a “magical” mailbox for letters to Santa were available. On Saturdays, we added drive-thru giveaways of hot cocoa, cookie-decorating kits, jingle bells and reindeer food. More than 3,500 people toured the lights and children dropped off 300 letters to Santa.
We took to the airwaves to promote our “iSpy Parade of Homes” tour. The 30-second radio commercial was a clever throwback to the ‘60s classic Get Smart with a near-perfect imitation of Maxwell Smart. Listeners were invited to spy all the reasons why Woodforest is popular. It was all in good fun and prospective home buyers flocked to Woodforest to see our model homes.
In addition to winning, we were finalists in the Best Overall Community more than 600 Acres, Best Billboard and Best Print Ad categories.
We would like to congratulate our outstanding Woodforest team for their work on these projects. They are just one of the many reasons why Woodforest is such an amazing community.
