The new year is already looking up for Woodforest. Once again, our community was ranked among the top 50 master-planned communities in the nation by Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO).
RCLCO ranked us at No. 45 on the annual list, which is based on net home sales for the previous year. Last year Woodforest builders sold 467 homes, a 10 percent increase.
Buyers were looking for larger homes with space for home offices, study areas and home gyms. Amenities such as trails, parks, swimming pools and pavilions continued to be popular as people searched for communities that offered multiple ways to get outdoors for fun and exercise.
This wasn’t news to us. Our eight production builders and four custom homebuilders offer a range of floor plans that allow you to configure your home to fit your needs.
Getting outdoors here is no problem, either. We’ve devoted more than 700 acres to parks, recreational areas, sports fields and open areas. The Christine Allen Nature Park spans 33 acres of places to picnic, stroll and enjoy. Cypress Trail connects neighborhoods to parks and playgrounds. Wallaroo Park is ADA-accessible so everyone can get outdoors and play. Even playful pups can unleash their energy at Admiral Bark Park.
Forest Island, Woodforest Golf Club and Stampede Sportsplex help everyone find a way to enjoy the outdoors.
We weren’t the only Johnson Development community to make the top 50. Sienna in Missouri City placed at No. 24 on RCLCO with 646 homes sold. Cross Creek Ranch took the No. 48 spot on the RCLCO list with 457 homes sold.
